SPEECH-LANGUAGE THERAPY

Therapeutic goals are chosen from information collected during diagnostic assessments, requests from the client, observations during therapy, and/or suggestions from other professionals.

Jill provides in-person and on-line, tele-practice speech and language intervention services. Intervention sessions are planned to best meet the needs of each child. Various formats are utilized, including: one-on- one therapy, small group therapy, family-based therapy with caregivers and/or siblings participating, and co-therapy involving other professionals. When other professionals are involved with the child, Jill believes in being a team player, and readily includes their goals in her sessions.

The style in which therapy is conducted will vary, depending on the needs of the individual and his/her family. Therapy may include one or more of the following: a play-based approach, formal sessions at a table, and/or community-based sessions.
